It’s crafted from full-grain leather and has a super soft wool felt lining, but it has none of the bulk of many other options we’ve seen. It’s designed to fit a MacBook without any room to budge, and it feels luxurious to hold.
We like that it's handmade and the leather will age and develop a unique patina over time. It’s not particularly well-padded, but we’re confident it will offer reliable protection from scratches.
After an affordable laptop sleeve? We doubt this one’s going to be winning any awards for design, but the simple Amazon Basics sleeve is made of padded neoprene and sure to provide reliable scratch and bump protection.
We've used an older version of this sleeve and had no complaints. It hasn't got any pockets or extra features, but it comes in several sizes, offers a snug fit for your laptop, and is lightweight for portability.
Don’t want to fuss around with a zip to get to your laptop? This smart Bellroy sleeve is made of recycled woven fabric and has a clever magnetic bumper that makes it super simple to slide your laptop in and out of its case.

Because its dimensions are a little roomier, this is a versatile pick – the 14-inch size had no trouble holding our MacBook Air, but it would also be ideal for a Dell XPS 13, a Microsoft Surface Pro or any laptops up to 31.2 x 22.1 x 1.5cm in size. It's lightweight enough to not weigh down our backpack, while keeping our laptop safe from any daily knocks.
This one is a little different to the others on our list, as it’s halfway between a laptop sleeve and a tech organiser. For us, it’s become an essential for storing our laptop and its associated accessories when we're leaving it at the office overnight, so that these items aren’t always coming to and from the office with us.

We’re big fans of the leather designs from Woolnut, including the brand’s excellent iPhone cases. This laptop sleeve is tailor-made for MacBooks and fits perfectly. It’s made from Scandinavian full-grain leather, and we like that the opening is on the short side, which makes it easier to charge the computer while it’s still in the sleeve.
It comes at a high price, but the design is clean, premium and minimal, and we really appreciate the muted colours – it’s available in black, brown, green and grey.
Sold in 14 or 16-inch sizes that are well-suited to the MacBook dimensions, this Mous sleeves is made from water-resistant recycled nylon and has high-density foam and soft fabric in its inner lining. That means it should be protected from light rain and spills.
Combine these great materials with the lid and secure G-hook closure, and you’ve got a high-end sleeve that’s made for keeping your laptop in place and protected. We like that it has a magnetic pocket at the rear too, which is great for stashing your cables, a tablet, a notepad or a Kindle.

This is a neat envelope-style sleeve that’s made with both sleek leather and wool-felt. It closes securely via strong magnets, and you can trust your laptop won't fall out when you’re carrying it around. It’s slim for stashing in backpacks, and available in a great range of colours, although we’ve seen quite a few options with more padding.
One of the best things about this sleeve, though, is that you can easily charge your MacBook through the discreet openings available for cables.
