Quite a few of the best deals in Amazon's sales combine an Echo speaker and a smart home product into one cut-price bundle. This one would be a great way to start your smart home if you like the idea of a smart video doorbell and a big display that'll show you who's at the door, along with allowing you to call other Echo owners, view videos and control smart home devices.

This great bundle combines Amazon's handy Echo Dot smart speaker and the smart plug that won our rigorous Good Housekeeping Institute tests – at a fantastic low price. This is our favourite Kindle for portability. It has a high-res screen, great backlight, big battery life and plenty of storage for thousands of books. If you don't need the waterproofing of the Kindle Paperwhite, the compact Kindle is a better pick to slip in your bag.

The first-ever colour screen Kindle is a great buy for anyone who loves to read comics, graphic novels, fantasy books with maps or travel guides. It’s got loads of battery life, is waterproof and has adjustable backlighting.
The top Kindle for note-takers, the latest 2024 Kindle Scribe is ideal if you want a device for both reading and writing. It has a large screen, cloud-synced notebooks, and a responsive stylus. We’re fans of the latest handy new features, like handwriting-to-text and note summaries. If you’re just after a lightweight e-reader, though, the Paperwhite might be a better fit.
