Our tech experts have a lot of love for the Bose SoundLink Flex, which ranks highly in our roundup of the best portable Bluetooth speakers.

What to read next

In our hands-on testing, the SoundLink Flex delivered excellent adaptive sound and effective voice control. The speaker is lightweight, robustly waterproofed, and boasts a satisfyingly bouncy sonic fingerprint, with plenty of bass and tremendous clarity. Unusually for a portable speaker, it has two speaker drivers for a fuller sound, and the battery provides up to 12 hours of listening.

The SoundLink Flex has only two notable downsides: it has a slight tendency to gather dust, and we sometimes find ourselves wishing it featured adjustable EQ. Some users might prefer the grittier aesthetic of the JBL Flip series, but as far as your ears are concerned, Bose’s speaker is right up there with the best portable speakers available right now.

Two colours of the SoundLink Flex have been discounted to £99.95 for Prime Day: ’Black’ and ’Stone Blue’.

If you're keen to grab a SoundLink Flex this Prime Day, you'll need to act fast, as the offer is due to expire at midnight on Wednesday, 17 July. Until today, we'd never seen this speaker priced any lower than £109 at Amazon, and it's unlikely we'll see another reduction this generous until Black Friday, at the earliest.

Official Prime Day Deals like this one are available exclusively to Prime members. If you haven’t got a Prime account, you’ll pay a higher, non-deal price for the SoundLink Flex.

The good news is that you can instantly access the Prime Day event (and all of the deals offered) by signing up for a one-month free trial of Amazon Prime. After the trial period, membership costs £8.99/month – but you can always cancel the subscription before Amazon charges you a penny.
