One of Apple’s best iPads has been reduced to a record-low price of £306 for Prime Day 2024 (16 & 17 July).

The 10th-generation iPad (released October 2022) has received a 12% Amazon store reduction, joining several other Apple tech products discounted for Prime Day.

Our tech team rated this iPad model as a perfect choice for day-to-day use, with fantastic design and a generous screen for browsing, emailing and streaming media. It has plenty of high-end features, including a 10.9-inch ‘Liquid Retina’ display, 12MP cameras front and back, Touch ID for security and wifi 6 connectivity.

The 10th-generation iPad (2022) can also serve as an effective professional tool, especially when used with accessories such as the Apple Pencil USB-C and Apple's Magic Folio or Bluetooth keyboard (also discounted for Prime Day 2024). Slip it into your bag, and use it like a laptop while on the go.

That’s not to say the 10th-generation iPad is a perfect tablet. It isn’t the slimmest or lightest option on the market, and there are more powerful models out there too — like the brand-new iPad Air (2024) or premium iPad Pro (2024).

We're clear about how we think it's entirely possible for an iPad to replace a laptop these days, and the entry-level 2022 iPad is the best beginner model and still ranks among the best iPads you can buy.

While only the ‘Pink’ version of the 10th-gen iPad is discounted to £306, three additional colours are available at cut prices:

  • Blue: £319.99 (RRP: £349)
  • Silver: £319.99 (RRP: £349)
  • Yellow: £319.99 (RRP: £349)

Having launched in 2022 with a £499 RRP, this iPad has hovered between about £330 and £350 since February.

We’ve never seen the price fall quite so low as it has for Prime Day – so this could be a very opportune moment to swipe up a bargain. Just remember, you'll need to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of the discount, but you can sign up for the free trial to snap it up now.

Remember, Prime Day deals end at midnight on Wednesday, 17 July.
