Black Friday 2024 is here, and it’s the perfect opportunity to invest in a sturdy suitcase for all those sunshine breaks in 2025 (yes, we're already counting down), or a handy cabin bag for frequent flyers.
Quality luggage can be a real investment, but, helpfully, Carl Friedrik is offering 30% off its entire range until Monday 2 December. We can vouch for its luxurious, durable cases (we've tested them extensively at the Good Housekeeping Institute) – they'd make the perfect Christmas gift for a loved one, or yourself, of course.
The luxury luggage brand offers everything from hardshell suitcases to convenient card holders, so you can fully kit yourself out ahead of your next getaway. Heads will certainly turn as you glide through the airport.
But with so much choice, it can be quite overwhelming, so we've rounded up our experts' top-rated cases below, along with some of the buys our editors can't get enough of.
Tried and Tested luggage

A staple in Carl Friedrik's collection, the Check-In bag is the ultimate travel companion. The chic (and robust) aluminium finish will look great with your airport outfit and protect all your valuables in the hold. The integrated locks are very secure, and TSA approved too, so you can relax and thoroughly enjoy that 10am mimosa in the departure lounge.
It scored full marks in our waterproof tests too, thanks to the watertight frame. The wheels also proved durable, and if that isn’t enough to convince you, then maybe the lifetime warranty will.

A smaller version of the Check-In, this compact case is the perfect cabin bag for shorter trips. It has an external zip pocket for storing laptops, giving easy access to in-flight entertainment if needed. Or emails, if it’s a business trip!
Our testers sang its praises, saying it manoeuvred well and the wheels are silent. Like the Check-In, has a sturdy and super secure aluminium frame. Check your airline’s baggage regulations before you travel with it though, to make sure you can take it onboard – you don’t want to start your holiday with an additional luggage cost.
