The Hoover Hurricane Evo TH31 H001 001 is the ideal vacuum cleaner for those with severe pet hair problems - it fully removed all hair in just one sweep during our test. It also performed well for its dust pick-up on laminate flooring, although it did struggle on carpet and floorboards.

This model comes with a convenient hose which can be extended up to 4.5 metres - easily reaching a full flight of stairs. Disappointingly, the overall height of this vacuum cleaner cannot be adjusted and, without grip, the plastic handle feels like low quality. For those that hate the task of emptying the canister, this machine is designed to empty from the base, making it easy to do and less messy than the standard vacuum cleaner.
