If you’re still using your lightweight summer bedding with a lower tog rating, it’s time to swap it out for something more effective to stay warm now the colder weather is creeping in.
We were excited to see that one of the GHI’s top-rated winter duvets - Simba’s Hybrid Duvet - is on offer right now at just £139, down from £199. That’s a decent £60 saving on a quality duvet.
A dedicated winter duvet will keep you toasty by trapping in warm air at night – and there’s something comforting about cosying up in thick bedding with a warm drink and movie on when it’s chilly outside.
The Hybrid duvet features Simba Renew filling which is made from 100% recycled bottles and features phase change technology which absorbs, stores and releases heat when you need it – delivering warmth and effective thermal performance. Simba uses recycled materials that are certified by the Global Recycled Standard, so it’s a great sustainable option.
The GHI testing team scored this duvet a solid 82/100 on test. They found it kept them warm throughout the night and thought the material felt luxurious. The bedding was easy to store, too, thanks to its lightweight design. They gave a thumbs-up to its eco credentials, as well.

There wasn’t much the team disliked but they did say that it shrank a little when washing, so don’t wash over 40C to keep it in tip-top condition.
All in all, this is a great deal on a top-scoring winter duvet to take advantage of now that the nights are drawing in. You can pick up a Hybrid Duvet from Simba here.
