GHI expert verdict

Its smooth texture was not too thick or thin and was easy to spread across the face and neck. Our testers found the cream simple to scoop out of its large container, too. It instantly relieved dry skin and 83% of testers agreed that it kept it hydrated until the end of the day. Over half of the panel noticed their skin was in better condition after four weeks of using the cream. However, some said it felt greasy and sticky. It also scored five out of 10 in our lab assessment, showing that the skin hydration levels were improved yet not improved drastically by the end of the trial.

How we test

We tested 11 own brand daily moisturisers with 128 women over two weeks. Not only did we look at the effects each product had on the skin, but we assessed the packaging, texture and much more. Using a multi-skin test centre, we also measured the hydration of the skin immediately after application and after six hours. This helped determine just how effective each product was.
