The Tropic Clarifying Hair Wash claims to be a multi-purpose product, and it contains aloe vera to soothe and refresh the scalp, babassu extract to soften and nourish the hair and coconut-derived cleansers to remove product build-up. It pairs an “eco-conscious” shampoo that cleans from the hair root to tip with a conditioner that's designed to treat dry, lacklustre hair. It can be used as a daily treatment or an intensive conditioning mask and also contains plant proteins, keratin and murumuru butter.

GHI EXPERT VERDICT
Our testers agreed that this combination left their hair clean, shiny and soft. The shampoo produces a rich lather and reduced frizz, with 87% agreeing that their hair felt nourished and was easier to manage. One testers also said that it didn’t wash out too much colour, either. The conditioner has a creamy texture and was also effective as an overnight hair mask, leaving locks shiny by morning. It held heated styles for several days, too.
