This long-lasting lipstick formula is both waterproof and touch-proof to give a velvet matte finish from day to night. The Fire Starter stands out as the bold red among Rimmel’s 26 other shades in the range. The brand advises that you apply it after lining the lips with a lip liner. Only one stroke of the bright classic red will give fuller-looking lips. Rimmel says it’s a matte lipstick that looks like a true red on all skin tones.

This is a pigmented, bright and eye-catching red and though thick in consistency, 82% of testers said the colour deposited well on their lips. Our expert complimented the suitability to all skin tones tested and found good coverage and moisturising results. Testers found the product had a nice matte formula and good staying power. Though it dried quickly, it didn’t dry down too much for most testers. The majority felt the packaging of the product was easy to use. It’s a creamy liquid lipstick that's easy to apply and gives you a look that won’t fade after food and drink.
