Strictly Come Dancing has just lost another professional dancer as favourite Gleb Savchenko has decided to quit the show.

The BBC confirmed today that Gleb won't be back after deciding to focus on his family.

'I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the last series of Strictly Come Dancing and especially the way that the UK gave me such a warm welcome,' he said.

'But due to family commitments I won't be returning to the show for the next series. I'll definitely be tuning in though.'

Gleb joins Tristan MacManus, Ola Jordan, Kristina Rihanoff and Aliona Vilaniin leaving the show - but don't get too sad, because there are three brand new pros joining the series.

Katya Jones has been dancing since the age of six and turned professional in 2013; with her partner Neil Jones, she is four times undefeated British National Professional Champion and the World Professional Latin Showdance Champion.

'I am so privileged to be joining Strictly Come Dancing,' she said. 'I know it is extremely intense, but so am I! I am fierce, fabulous, and would love to win!'

She joins Ukrainian dancer Oksana Platero, who was National Youth Champion for three years, became a National US Champion and danced for five seasons on Dancing with the Stars, as well as working as a choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance.

'Words cannot describe how extremely excited I am to be joining the Strictly Come Dancing family this year,' she said. 'I am so fortunate to be given the opportunity. It feels so surreal and I cannot wait to get started.'

Finally, Gorka Marquez will be signing up after representing Spain in the World Latin Championships and dancing in the stage show Burn The Floor.

'I feel very excited and grateful to be joining Strictly Come Dancing and to be one of the professional dancers for the new series,' he said. 'It's something that every dancer dreams of and something that I always wanted to have the opportunity to do.'

The newbies join returning male dancers Anton du Beke, Brendan Cole, Kevin Clifton, Pasha Kovalev, Aljaž Škorjanec and Giovanni Pernice and the female pros Karen Clifton, Natalie Lowe, Joanne Clifton, Janette Manrara and Oti Mabuse.
