Good Morning Britain viewers have shared messages of support for breakfast news host and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Charlotte Hawkins, after she was mocked by Piers Morgan this morning.
During today's live GMB broadcast, the hosting team reflected on Charlotte’s most recent Strictly performance, in which nerves overcame her and she gained a score of 12 out of 40 for her Cha Cha with partner Brendan Cole.
Piers told Charlotte he was ‘horrified’ and asked if she’s putting in enough hours of practise, to which she replied: ‘Yes I'm putting in eight hours after every GMB.’

But the unhelpful comments didn’t stop there.
‘You’re representing us, and when you bomb like you did on Saturday it reflects badly on me,’ Piers said.
Charlotte, looking visibly uncomfortable replied: ‘Please, do we have to go on about this?’
‘I thought Sat night was going to be the toughest I've faced for a while... until I sat down next to [Piers on GMB],’ she said.
Viewers were quick to defend Charlotte on social media, with many suggesting Piers should have a go himself before criticsing the show’s contestants…
