Don't expect to see new Noel Fielding joining in the snacking in Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off , as the new host has revealed he won't be sampling any of the tasty treats on offer.
But *why*, Noel?
Well, the Mighty Boosh star revealed the decision came as he attempted to avoid sugar for the sake of his acting career.
During filming, Fielding embarked on a zero sugar diet for his role as rock star Alice Cooper in a forthcoming episode of Sky Arts' controversial biography-bending series Urban Myths, which meant no cakes for him.
'I get more work when I'm thinner, so I can't put on weight,' Fielding told The Sunday Times. 'No one likes a tubby gut is what I'm saying.

'I don't eat anything, I'm like a plant.
'It's not that I don't like cake — I have a very sweet tooth. But I was playing Alice Cooper and I had to lose a stone, so I wasn't eating sugar.
'You can't just get straight back onto sugar, as it's quite a powerful thing."
That's right, folks. Umpteen years in showbusiness and it was sugar that ultimately defeated Noel Fielding.
