David and Natalie’s was by far our favourite romance in Love Actually, played splendidly by Hugh Grant and Martine McCutcheon. And while that kiss mid-Christmas play was spectacular, now we know what it was really like behind all the acting.

Appearing as a panellist on Loose Women, Martine was asked what it was like to snog the British heartthrob, and she didn’t hold back.

‘I won’t be mysterious – he was fabulous. I’m not gonna lie,’ she said. ‘At first he was very polite and I thought, maybe they’re not very good kissers these posh boys, but then, when Richard Curtis said to him, “Go for it” – ooh, did he!’

‘This is fantastic for me, because it’s been a long time,’ co-panellist Sherrie Hewson said, while the audience roared with laughter.

‘I like Hugh, because he looks like he’s a little bit filthy,’ Andrea McLean added. To which Martine agreed, ‘He is filthy but he is fabulous. Fabulously filthy.’
