Great-grandmother celebrates 100th birthday with a skydive

Forget a quiet get-together with cake and presents – for her milestone birthday, all Georgina Harwood wanted was some adventure. And the South African great-grandmother most certainly got what she desired when she went skydiving in celebration of her 100th!

With 15 members of her family by her side, Harwood successfully landed her tandem jump, which she described to the Associated Press as ‘wonderful’ and ‘exhilarating’.

Granted, she already has two big skydiving jumps under her belt, the first of which she took when she was 92.

And if that’s not enough, Harwood will be continuing her thrill-filled birthday with (of course!) a cage dive among sharks. Brave lady!
