Michelle Obama, Angelina Jolie and Oprah Winfrey are among the most admired women in the world, a new poll suggests.
Each year, YouGov conducts a poll to ask people from all over the world who they admire. Spanning 41 countries, website visitors answered 'Who do you truly admire?' and 'Who do you most admire?' from March to June and then the polling giant formulates the results.
Given so much variety in who the poll asks, naturally the people who make the list are very diverse when it comes to country of origin politics and popularity.
The poll churns out the most admired men and women, with this year's top five men being: Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Jackie Chan, Xi Jinping and Jack Ma.

Michelle Obama
Former First Lady of the United States and Becoming author has been crowned the world's most admired woman.
Oprah Winfrey
Talk show host, entrepreneur and philanthropist has been ranked the second most admired woman.
Angelina Jolie
The Oscar-winning actress, philanthropist and activist is the third most admired woman worldwide.
Queen Elizabeth II
The Queen polled fourth on the worldwide list, but in the UK-only list was voted the most admired woman.
Emma Watson
Harry Potter actress and feminist campaigner came fifth.
Malala Yousafzai
The girls education rights campaigner was voted the sixth most admired woman in the world.
Peng Liyuan
The Chinese First Lady was ranked seventh on the global list but first on the Chinese.
Hillary Clinton
The former US First Lady and presidential nominee came eighth.
Tu Youyou
Tu Youyou is a Chinese Nobel Prize winning chemist who discovered a vital anti-malaria drug. She ranked second on the Chinese list and ninth on the worldwide poll.
Taylor Swift
The pop star is the tenth most admired woman in the world.
Madonna
The singer was ranked 11th on the list.
Angela Merkel
The German Chancellor is the 12th most admired woman worldwide
Deepika Padukone
The Indian actress was 13th on the world's most admired list and fifth on the same poll in India alone.
Priyanka Chopra
The actress, who has enjoyed huge success both in Hollywood and Bollywood, ranks 14th on the world's most admired women list.
Ellen DeGeneres
The American talk show host and activist is 15th on the most admired list.
Aishwarya Rai
Another Miss World contestant (Priyanka Chopra won the pageant in 2000) land on the list, model and actress Aishwarya Rai.
Sushmita Sen
Former Miss Universe, actress and model was ranked the 17th most admired woman in the world.
Theresa May
The outgoing UK Prime Minister was 18th on the global list and 9th on the British list.
Melania Trump
The First Lady of the United States was voted the 19th most admired woman in the world and third in the US (after Michelle Obama and Ruth Bader Ginsburg).
Yang Mi
