When Ed Balls was the first person announced for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, he certainly raised a few eyebrows. And swapping arguing in the House of Commons with Fox Trotting on the dancefloor, even Ed admitted 'it was all a bit stressful.'
But it seems he's taking it in his stride, sharing on his Facebook page some behind-the-scenes images of the pre-filming before the full series starts.
'This might be the closest I get to a Strictly "6",' he joked, holding up a judge's score paddle, while another photos showed him being showered in gold glitter.

'Everyone was really friendly, but it was all a bit stressful,' he also admitted. 'Even despite the glitter! Can't wait to get on with it now..'
Ed will be joined by Will Young, Louise Redknapp, Ore Oduba, Melvin Odoom, Laura Whitmore, Daisy Lowe, Naga Munchetty and Danny Mac. We're expecting six more contestants to be announced before the launch show next month.
It has also been revealed that this will be Len Goodman's final series as head judge, with rumours that Anton du Beke, Brendan Cole or Helen Richey could be replacing him.
We're counting down the days!
