Call the Midwife was back on screens tonight (January 28) and viewers absolutely LOVE Lucille, as well as her friendship with Valerie.
The latest episode saw Valerie's friend Marjory go into labour while Lucille was on duty.
Lucille (Leonie Elliot), who was introduced last week, proved her midwife chops by successfully delivering Marjory's baby.
However, when Marjory suffered a postnatal stroke and took a turn for the worse, her mother Mae accused Lucille of incompetence.
This made viewers very sad indeed:
Because everyone loves Lucille:
After winning fans over by handling the drama with dignity and grace, Lucille started to bond with her fellow midwives, and struck up a friendship with Valerie in particular.
The women shared their experiences of overcoming prejudice, Valerie while in the military and Lucille as a black woman working in England.
People were thrilled that Lucille seems to have found an ally in Valerie...
We can't wait to see more!
Call the Midwife continues at 8pm next Sunday (February 4) on BBC One.
