Well, according to a new scientific study, it’s people who are a similar level of attractiveness to ourselves that we look for.

The research, conducted by experts from Oxford University and the University of Otago in New Zealand, involved 172 strangers rating their own attractiveness. They were then left to mingle in a room.

Interestingly, the researchers found that the most beautiful women tended to gravitate towards each other, suggesting that attractive women are most likely to choose similarly gorgeous companions.

The study also found that attractive women were most likely to be placed in the physical centre of social groups, so next time everyone starts circling round you for a chat, you should definitely take it as a compliment!
