Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan just had an almighty scare that his son Spencer could be entering Love Island.

Yesterday (June 25), Spencer posted an image on Twitter of his own personalised Love Island water bottle – the ones they all drink out of on the ITV2 show and are now, subsequently, all the rage.

Perturbed by his son's choice of liquid vessels, Piers began to worry this was Spencer's way of saying he's going on the show.

"You're not going IN there... are you?!!!?" wrote Piers.

Piers has made his feelings about Love Island clear in recent weeks, branding its contestants "thick" on Twitter and attempting to mock their intelligence live on GMB.

Although, it did backfire on him once as he challenged the dumped Hayley Hughes to talk to him about Pythagorean theorem, only to get it wrong himself.

He also quizzed Rosie Williams on her decision to join the show after studying law.

"Rosie, you achieved a post-graduate master of laws degree from the University of Chester and you've given up all that to go into a villa of half-wits to try and have sex on national TV. Why? Why would you do that?" he asked her.

Luckily for Piers, his son isn't actually going on the show, so he won't be forced to talk about him "doing bits" on national television anytime soon.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 from 9pm, while Good Morning Britain airs on ITV at 6am.
