Kit Harington and Rose Leslie's romance may have ended tragically on-screen in Game of Thrones, but their real love life has just reached a new milestone.

News broke this week that Kit and Rose recently got engaged after more than three years as a couple, according to E! News and multiple other US news outlets.

And that's now been confirmed via an announcement in Wednesday's (September 27) edition of The Times, which reads: 'The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.'

Kit may have been spurred on in popping the question (if indeed he has) by none other than Nicole Kidman, who pressured him to propose during a recent interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

After learning that Kit and Rose had recently moved in together, Nicole piled the pressure on the Jon Snow actor by teasing: 'Are you gonna get married or… I just think it's kinda nice.'

'If you're gonna live together, you've gotta at least get engaged! I'm working hard for her here!'

'I'm being put on the spot by Nicole Kidman,' a nervous Kit shrugged. 'Step by step. It's step by step!'

Many congratulations, and always remember: Love is never reminding Jon Snow that he knows nothing.
