The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their first public appearance since Prince Philip's funeral on Wednesday (21 April), both wearing black as a sign of respect for William's late grandfather.

Will and Kate were visiting the East Ham Squadron Air Training Corps in east London, where they spoke with Air Cadets.

The duchess' military-style black coat with gold button detailing is thought to hail from designer brand Dolce & Gabbana, while Prince William opted for a dark suit with a black tie.

This is the first time the royals have been seen out and about since Prince Philip's funeral on Saturday (17 April) at St George's Chapel in Windsor. He passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle on 9 April.
