Princess Anne's 70th birthday on Saturday (15 August) was marked by the release of three new photos of the royal at home.
Two stunning photographs of the Princess Royal, taken at her home, Gatcombe Park, at the start of the year, were shared on the royal family's official Instagram account on the eve of her big day.
The accompanying caption reads: "New photographs have been released to celebrate the 70th birthday of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal tomorrow, 15th August 🎈
"The photographs were taken by John Swannell at The Princess’ home, Gatcombe Park, in February this year. #PrincessRoyalAt70."
In the first photo, Anne looks regal in emerald green while standing in the hall of her home, while the second shot shows the princess looking relaxed in the great outdoors, wearing a plaid shirt over a coordinating roll-neck jumper, paired with khaki jeans.
The post was quickly inundated with likes and happy birthday messages for Anne, prompting the Palace to release a third gorgeous shot of the princess in a white lace detail gown with matching bolero on her 70th birthday.
In this third snap, a beaming Anne looks relaxed and happy in her stunning outfit, as she sits on a golden chair at home.
