The Cambridges have announced the launch of a new COVID-19 Response Fund to benefit UK charities working in mental health and frontline support.
The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has granted nearly £1.8m to 10 leading charities through the bespoke new fund, which is part of the organisation's response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Charitable organisations that will benefit include mental health charity Mind, children's mental health charity Place2Be, and The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC) for ambulance workers.
Announcing the news on their official @KensingtonRoyal Instagram account, Will and Kate shared a series of photos from a meeting they had earlier this week with four representatives from organisations that will benefit from the new fund, including two emergency responders and two mental health counsellors.
The Duchess looked stunning in a white and blue printed shirt dress with a fitted waist for the occasion, with her hair worn down in a signature wavy blow dry, while Prince William looked equally summery in a light blue jacket.
The accompanying caption pays tribute to frontline staff who have battled the coronavirus. It reads: "Over recent months we have all been in awe of the incredible work that frontline staff and emergency responders have been doing in response to COVID-19."
It continues: "And we know that for many of them, their families, and for thousands of others across the UK, the pandemic will have a lasting impact on their mental health."
