Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancee Carrie Symonds have welcomed their first child together.

A spokesperson for the PM announced the happy news, revealing the couple had welcomed a baby boy in a London hospital this morning (29 April).

BBC reported a spokesperson said: "The prime minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning.

Mum and baby are said to be doing well in hospital.

In February, Boris and Carrie announced they were expecting their first child together after becoming engaged last year.

The PM returned to work this week after spending time in hospital with COVID-19.
