Coronation Street's Kym Marsh has opened up about becoming a grandmother for the first time, after her daughter Emilie Cunliffe gave birth to a baby boy.
Kym, who's set to take a break from her role as Corrie's Michelle Connor later this year, gushed about the newest addition to her family while attending the Pride of Manchester Awards.
Full of praise for her daughter, the actress paid tribute to first-time mum Emilie, telling The Mirror that she is "doing great". Kym added: "She has been an absolute warrior."
Comparing her grandson to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new baby, Archie Harrison, Kym joked: "It feels like the royal baby, and we beat [Meghan] as well."
The Corrie favourite first shared her experience of becoming a grandmother – or a 'Loli' – on Instagram this week, telling fans she was "honoured" to be her daughter's co-birthing partner.
"Last night was a night I will never forget," Kym wrote. "My beautiful daughter was an absolute warrior and her partner and I were the best birthing team we could be!!!
"I was so honoured to have been a part of bringing him into the world."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
