Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright have announced their engagement.
The footballer shared the exciting news on Instagram on Thursday, and as the adorable photos show, Rio's three children were there for the big moment.
"She said yes. How these 3 kids kept it a secret I'll never know," he wrote on Instagram. The pictures show the happy couple sharing the proposal with Lorenz, Tate and Tia on what appears to be the roof of the St Regis hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Kate also shared the good news on her Instagram page, writing: "The perfect end to our holiday ... How could the answer not be yes."
Rio and Kate reportedly met through mutual friends and started dating two years ago. In October 2017, Rio revealed he was finally "happy again" after he tragically lost his wife Rebecca in 2015 following a short battle with cancer.
Speaking to This Morning, the sports star opened up about how he introduced his children in his new relationship.
"The kids are also happy, they deserve to be after going through tragedy in the last few years of their life," he said. "There's not been one stage of going into this relationship where they've not been involved.
"As long as they feel they are involved and in the conversation, I think there's a chance they can reach happiness."
