The X Factor is turning to a bona fide music legend to fill in at the judges table for this weekend's results show.

Robbie Williams' busy touring schedule means that he's booked to headline in Santiago, Chile on Monday (November 5), making it impossible for him to take part in Sunday's (November 4) results show.

Digital Spy has learned that Robbie has drafted in CHIC's Nile Rodgers to sit alongside him during Saturday's (November 3) performance show, and then Nile will fully substitute for the missing judge during the results show on Sunday night.

That means Nile could play a crucial rule in deciding the fate of Robbie's Groups should one or more of them fall into the Bottom spot during the results show.

Nile appeared earlier this year in The X Factor when he joined Robbie's rival Louis Tomlinson and fellow guest Liam Payne in the Judges Houses' round to help pick the Boys line-up.

The X Factor was originally supposed to feature former judge Sharon Osbourne as a special live show judge to cover for Robbie's tour absences, but she left the series before ever appearing after mocking the show in a controversial US interview.

Robbie is coming off a rough week, having lost the LMA Choir during last Sunday's (October 28) live show. Ayda Field's Janice Robinson from the Overs was also sent home during the double elimination.
