This autumn, Good Housekeeping is hosting a very special rail trip, where you'll get to meet actress Helen George and travel back in time as you take a ride on the luxurious British Pullman train.
The exclusive tour takes place in October 2022 and begins at London Victoria, where you'll board the opulent Belmond British Pullman. This vintage train will take you through the Kent countryside in style. With its beautiful antique fittings, plush seats and idyllic views out of the windows, the unique train invites you to experience the Edwardian era of luxury train travel.
During the rail journey, you'll be served brunch prepared by expert chefs and a delicious Bellini cocktail, before arriving at Chatham in Kent and the atmospheric Historic Chatham Dockyard.
The dockyard houses mighty ships of yesteryear, including HMS Gannett and Cavalier.
You'll be transported back in time as a costumed midwife takes you on a walking tour before you relax over a light lunch. Actress Helen George will then give a talk and host a Q&A session. The tour comes to a fascinating end with a Call the Midwife exhibition, which includes set props and costumes.
It's then time to board the Belmond British Pullman again as you tuck into a delicious Champagne afternoon tea and relax on the journey back to London in sumptuous surroundings.
