The excitement of Bond 25 is heating up and if you're a mega-fan of the franchise, you may have already spotted first-look footage of the James Bond movie being shot in an incredible setting.

That film location was recently revealed as Norway, and it was as dramatic as you'd expect from a snow-covered scene in the Scandinavian country.

Shot in Nordmarka, a forest area around 30 minutes north of Oslo, the scene shows a mysterious new villain during a chase sequence.

Nordmarka is a cross-country skier’s paradise

It takes place at the icy lake Langvann in the village of Hakadal, which is an area where Norwegians like to ski in the winter and walk in the summer.

Dubbed one of the most scenic film locations from the upcoming movie, released on 8 April 2020, Norway is the perfect place for a Bond-inspired holiday and now is the time to book your icy break for the upcoming winter season.

The Northern Lights over Norway

While the makers of the movie are keeping schtum about other settings in the country, we can think of a few ways 007 could make a memorable entrance. He could whizz through the snow under the Northern Lights on a snowmobile, or venture to the most northernly point of mainland Europe at the remote North Cape.

Bond fans looking to explore Norway's highlights before the crowds arrive, can join Good Housekeeping's exclusive tour of the country and see its spectacular dancing green lights in the sky thanks to our Northern Lights promise. What's more, you'll be joined by TV's Mariella Frostrup, who grew up in Norway, on our celebrity-themed trip.

Alternatively, you can explore Norway on another one of our one-0f-a-kind holidays: a 12-day adventure chasing the Northern Lights with BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood.

Other glamorous locations from Bond 25 will be "Bond's spiritual home", as producer Barbara Broccoli described it, the Caribbean island of Jamaica. She revealed that Bond will be living here in the opening of the movie.

Back in Europe, Italy's UNESCO World Heritage city Matera will be another place for 007's adventures. One of our top destinations to visit in 2019, this ancient hilltop town is famed for its network of caves, churches, streets, stairways, archways and terraces carved into the mountainside.

And, of course, it wouldn't be a Bond film without a few epic scenes shot in Britain and London in particular at the MI6 headquarters. It seems producers can't get enough of Scotland either.

After shooting much of Skyfall here, reports suggest James Bond will return to the country where he was born and raised, with scenes expected to be shot in the Highlands (where our amazing steam train holiday takes place this summer).

As 007 is no stranger to exotic places, it's expected he'll venture further so don't be surprised if he travels to India, Cambodia or even Uzbekistan.

Popular luggage brand Fjällräven specialises in durable designs, and this weekender is no exception.

With a 30L capacity, it can be worn in three ways: crossbody, as a hold-all, or as a backpack. The handles are a little rough and they’re not the strongest, but while it may look small, it can hold a lot. Plus, there’s a 17” laptop compartment and the expandable front section is handy for keeping passports and phones within quick reach.

We love the versatility of this bag. As well as top handles, it has a detachable shoulder strap, a side handle, and a sleeve handle to attach it to your suitcase so you can breeze through the airport.

The handy shoe compartment is separate from the main bag, and there are two pockets on the front that offer a lot more extra space than you’d initially think. There’s also a laptop compartment and interior pockets for valuables. It’s not the smartest-looking bag on this list but it’s practical, durable and more affordable than most.
