From chunky chains to red stilettos: Our favourite Meryl Streep outfit details from The Devil Wears Prada 2

One of the first looks we were treated to was this warm sunset toned look, offset with a vibrant pop of purple. While her elegant, long-line jacket is stunning, it was her leather midi skirt in rich mahogany by Gabriela Hearst which really had us envious.

We're not sure Meryl could look more expensive here if she tried, with the bold earrings (yellow gold jumbo 'Sloan' dome earrings by Briony Raymond), a swipe of pink lipstick and, of course, those ivory shades. Impeccable.

What does every busy editor-in-chief need? An oversized clutch big enough to fit a full-sized copy of their latest issue, of course. The black leather zip-up looks the business, while screaming fashion.

Nodding to the iconic red shoe of The Devil Wears Prada branding, Meryl stepped out in character wearing this fabulous pair of sling-back stilettos - The High Cubisto slingbacks by Jacquemus.

Both Anne and Meryl were suited and (in Anne's case, literally) booted while shooting a scene in New York. We love the statement lapels on Meryl's oversized jacket, while the co-ordinating A-line skirt feels like an original take on classic tailoring.

While Miranda Priestly may exert a quiet, terrifying power, there's nothing subtle about her chunky chain bracelet here. We love the bold links and industrial-luxe feel of the piece.

And, okay, so this isn't Meryl, but we had to take a moment to shout out Andie's satchel. She's also been spotted with a vintage Coach messenger bag on set. Classic black leather bags which feel business appropriate and bang on character for Andy? The perfect choice.
