All of Princess Charlotte’s sweetest moments with dad Prince William as she cheers the Lionesses

She wore one of her mum’s trademark looks.

The final of the UEFA Women’s Euros 2025 was a tense watch for all of us up and down the country – and beyond – as we tuned in for the deciding match between England and Spain. As patron of the Football Association (and its former President), the Prince of Wales was in the crowds in Basel, Switzerland, to see the game in person on Sunday (27 July). For the special occasion, he brought Princess Charlotte along, who’s a big supporter of the Lionesses team.

It was a rollercoaster of a match, going into extra time before culminating in a nail-biting penalty shootout, which saw the Lionesses come out victorious as Chloe Kelly scored the winning goal. From the sidelines, Prince William and Princess Charlotte could be seen watching anxiously and cheering with the rest of the crowds. After the win, they shared a personal message of congratulations and support on social media, saying: ‘What a game! @lionesses, you are the champions of Europe and we couldn’t be prouder of the whole team.’

Here, we take a look at all the sweet, tense and exciting moments captured of the father-daughter duo as they enjoyed the historic match together…

High hopes

We can all relate to the royal duo here – looking less than impressed – as various moments of the match didn’t go in England’s favour. Whether it was yellow cards, Spain’s first goal or that disallowed first goal during the shootout.
