From a surprise hobby to mother-son projects: Pamela Anderson’s most iconic 'reinvention' moments at 58
Happy birthday Pamela!
Put simply, Pamela Anderson is a living legend - and one who defined an era, becoming world famous after starring in the iconic Baywatch series. Once, Pamela was instantly recognisable by her distinctive razor thin brows, big platinum hair and barbed wire tattoo. But 2023 heralded a new era for the star. She released a Netflix documentary telling her life story in her words, she went make up free to Paris Fashion Week, she reconnected with nature through her garden, she released a lifestyle book and gardening show... There were new film projects and magazine covers, with Pamela all the while advocating a slower life, away from the hectic party heyday to which she was once tied.
Now, to mark her 58th birthday, we take a look back at some of Pamela's most iconic reinvention moments, from green-fingered exploits in the garden, to a poignant project with one of her sons.
Her story in her words, January 2023
After a controversial series charting Pamela's relationship with Tommy Lee catapulted her back into public conversation, she released a Netflix documentary to share her story on her own terms.
Reconnecting with nature, July 2023
Pamela now regularly shares insights from her gardening projects across her personal Instagram account, but it all began with this birthday post revealing her love of being outdoors, working in the earth.
Makeup free, September 2023
Having become synonymous with the thoroughly made up look, Pamela hit headlines when she arrived at Paris Fashion Week without a glam squad - heading to the fashion shows with no makeup on at all.
'That' hat, September 2023
In a get-ready-with-me video, Pamela revealed that she had no stylist for her day attending the Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer show in Paris. She went without makeup again and wore that statement hat. Iconic.
Her new book, April 2024
Pamela translated her laid-back, wholesome ethos into a 'lifestyle' cookbook, sharing recipes and entertaining tips with nature at its heart. She explained that the book grew from recipe cards she kept for her children.
The Last Showgirl, January 2025
Pamela's role in The Last Showgirl heralded her return to Hollywood. Her son Brandon was a producer on the movie which was nominated for multiple awards.
A mother-son moment, January 2025
For the Golden Globes in January, Pamela had a very special date - her son, Brandon Thomas Lee. The pair worked on a The Last Showgirl together, and she was nominated for best actress awards at the Golden Globes and the Screen Actor's Guild Award.
A Marilyn moment, February 2025
Pamela has become a red carpet regular in recent years. She stunned with her very own Marilyn moment at the SAG Awards, when she wore her hair in old Hollywood style waves with a floor-length white gown.
A gardening show, March 2025
Pamela took viewers behind the scenes with her own gardening show, Pamela's Garden of Eden which was a real passion project for her.
A whole new look, May 2025

While the star has always had long blonde locks, she opted for a blunt, flicky bob and statement fringe back in May. Pamela debuted her brand new hairstyle at this year's Met Gala while wearing a floor-length embellished gown.
The next movie, June 2025
Hopefully Pamela's role in The Last Showgirl will mean we'll be seeing her much more regularly in blockbusters. Her next release is in Naked Gun starring Liam Neeson, and she shared a peek at the trailer on her Instagram account.

Pamela graced the cover of Harper's Bazaar, opening up with an in-depth interview as well as starring in a stunning photoshoot. As she says in the piece, 'Sometimes when you think it’s the end, it’s really the beginning…'
