From hand-holding to sharing secrets: Princess Charlotte's most adorable middle sister moments as she turns 10

It's hard to believe that Princess Charlotte is now 10 years old, celebrating her milestone birthday just weeks after her younger brother Prince Louis turned 7. As the only girl and middle child of the family, Princess Charlotte has her work cut out with two brothers, but it's clear the siblings are close and growing up fast. In a new photo shared by her parents, Princess Charlotte looks the spitting image of her dad Prince William.
The Prince and Princess' daughter was born on 2 May 2015 and was debuted to the press in Kate's arms outside St Mary's Hospital in London. Over the years, Charlotte has proved herself a model princess, often praised for keeping her brothers Princes George and Louis in check.
To celebrate her birthday, we take a look back at some of Princess Charlotte's best sister moments and key milestones from throughout her life.
A royal wedding
Princess Charlotte and her big brother Prince George looked adorable as they attended the Princess Eugenie’s wedding. Princess Charlotte had always been the youngest of the family, but just a few months earlier, Kate had given birth to Prince Louis, making Charlotte now a big sister too.
Football fan
Princess Charlotte might not be one of the boys, but she proved she can still kick it during an afternoon playing football. The young royal even joined dad Prince William in a special video to cheer on England’s women’s football team, the Lionesses.
Thank you
During the pandemic, families up and down the country took to their front doorsteps to clap for the NHS and the Prince William and Kate did just the same. Here, Princess Charlotte joins her parents and brothers to clap during a clip for BBC Children In Need and Comic Relief 'Big Night In in 2020.
Back to school
Even royals have to go to school and, in 2022, Princess Charlotte and her brothers were taken for a settling in afternoon at Lambrook School near Ascot in 2022 after seting up home in Adelaide Cottage.
Carriage greetings
For the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2002, the young royal siblings were taken in a carriage procession for the Trooping of the Colour and waved politely to passers by who came out to greet them.

During the coronation ceremony, Princess Charlotte sat with her little brother and kept him entertained as he pointed things out quietly to her in the Abbey.
Shades of cool
Looking every inch the cooler sister, Princess Charlotte donned a pair of sunglasses and relaxed as she watch the Men’s Final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon in 2023.
A steady hand
During the King’s coronation, Princess Charlotte was tasked with taking care of her younger brother Prince Louis, and was seen holding his hand on the way into Westminster Abbey as they walked in procession behind their parents.
Getting the giggles
Even the most responsible sisters find it hard to keep a straight face sometimes and Princess Charlotte can be seen supressing her giggles as Prince Louis pulls faces during the Royal Air Force fly-past on the balcony of Buckingham Palace in 2023.
Sharing secrets
While Princess Charlotte might not have any sisters, she’s not the only younger girl in the extended royal family. Here she shares a secret with Mia Tindall, the daughter of Zara Tindall, who is Prince William’s cousin.
