Lindsay and Sue's Three Land Challenge gets underway
Good Housekeeping's Editorial Director Lindsay Nicholson, pictured here with two-time breast cancer survivor and fellow Three Land Challenge participant Sue Sharp, will both walk the Edinburgh and Iceland MoonWalks in four and five weeks time.
‘One marathon down – two more to go! Wish us luck!’ said Editorial Director Lindsay, who was joined by celebrity walkers Jennifer Saunders, Sally Phillips and Good Housekeeping contributer Penny Smith.
Jo beats the cold by wearing her bra over her T-shirt
‘There were highs, lows (Jelly Babies helped), blisters and tears but it was all worthwhile as we reached the Tower of London just as the sun came up. I don’t think London has ever looked more beautiful to me.’ Jo Finney, Assistant Features Editor

In the months running up to the event, Good Housekeeping ran a competition offering highly sort after tickets to take part. More than 15,000 women walked in either the Half Moon or Full Moon marathons.

Linda and June were on hand to support the GH team
Lifestyle and Shows Executive Linda and Deputy Editor June were on hand on the night to support the Good Housekeeping team.
‘What a night! With torrential rain and gale force winds many of the walkers arrived soaked even before the start. I was there to greet the group of 20 GH readers who had won entry to this year’s MoonWalk – all of them resplendent in fabulously decorated bras and eager to get going. The GH staff team were equally funky in bejewelled, feathered and flowered creations, many involving flashing fairy lights! I drove home over Chelsea Bridge, honking my horn (probably illegally) to cheer on the thousands of walkers pouring along Chelsea Embankment and feeling in awe of their determination and spirit.’ June Walton
‘The heavens opened but that didn’t dampen the amazing atmosphere in the tent, in fact it made people more determined to power through. Excitement, laughter and a little bit of fear spread through and watching our GH team leave made me really proud of everyone taking part. Never seen so many people with smiles on their faces with the prospect of walking 26 miles! The volunteers clapping everyone as they went by just added to the high spirits.’ Linda Abernethy

To infinity and beyond!
Susannah lights up the room with her bra design
‘26.2 miles is too far on two feet without a pub lunch and a cake stop!’ Head of Corporate Development Susannah Sutton
‘I think the stewards along the route were amazing. Standing out on a cold night encouraging everyone that comes along. They high fived, handed out water, collected rubbish and told us how far along we were. It takes a special type of person to volunteer to do that all night – I know I couldn’t!’ Nathalie Bonney

Elaine's feathered design is fembot fantastic!
‘I loved every minute of it! When my legs started to protest at around the 11-mile mark, I just thought about all the support from sponsors, the wonderful volunteers cheering us on, and the reasons why we were doing it. Before I knew it, the chimneys of Battersea Power Station – lit up pink especially for the MoonWalk – and the finishing line were in reach. It was a real privilege to take part – and I can’t wait to do it again!’ ElaineGriffiths
