Here are just some of the notable figures in attendance.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday 8 September at Balmoral, Scotland, at the age of 96. The Queen had reigned for over 70 years, celebrating her historic Platinum Jubilee earlier this year. Her funeral is taking place today, 19 September 2022, and follows four days Lying in State in Westminster Hall.
Across the country big screens are airing the monumental day, including in London’s Hyde Park, Sheffield’s Cathedral Square, Birmingham’s Centenary Square, Carlisle’s Bitts Park, Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park and Coleraine Town Hall in Northern Ireland. Cinemas across the UK are also opening their screens to show the funeral, with service and processions shown live on BBC One, ITV and Sky.
Many members of the public gathered in central London to wait along the procession routes and outside the venues, while 2,000 service guests gathered at Westminster Abbey at 11.00am to remember the monarch, with her coffin then to travel to Windsor Castle for a committal service this afternoon. Among those in attendance were dignitaries, royals, prime ministers and presidents from Britain and across the world, all travelling to London to pay their respects to Britain's longest reigning monarch in this historic event.
