Ever since her achievement of becoming the longest-serving female Blue Peter presenter, Konnie Huq has been busy.
Along with husband, Black Mirror creator, Charlie Brooker, she has focussed her attention on raising their two boys, Covey and Huxley, remaining largely under the public radar.
Until last year. With her boys aged eight and six, Konnie has carved a new successful venture - writing children's books.
The first of these, Cookie And The Most Annoying Boy In The World is a hilarious and charming tale of a feisty girl who loves science, with illustrations done by Konnie herself.
More recently, she has teamed up with fellow author James Kay to release two new children's titles - Fearless Fairy Tales (Piccadilly Press, £14.99) and Trumplestiltskin (Piccadilly Press, £5.99), which give traditional fairy stories a witty and modern spin.

Konnie says: "One for older kids, this book is fantastic for understanding and empathy as it is all about a refugee boy joining a primary school class. It is written in a lovely way, treating the subject matter without ever being worthy."
