On 26 July, we'll be hosting Good Housekeeping's Big Summer Book Day, an online festival featuring top novelists, crime writers and cookbook authors for a day of totally free events to entertain, educate and inspire you.

Fern Britton will be joining us from her beloved garden in Cornwall to talk about how the landscape inspires her writing, while crime writer Karin Slaughter will be answering your burning questions and author and activist Kit de Waal will be revealing the books that have shaped her life.

The day will also feature Rachel Edwards sharing her top book picks for those looking to diversify their reading, Emma Gannon on challenging notions of womanhood in her debut novel and a Q&A with Lionel Shriver.

What to read next

For fashion lovers, writer Dawn O’Porter is giving us a glimpse inside her fabulous writing wardrobe, and we’ll even have you covered when it comes to a snack for the day as you'll be able to watch food writer Skye McAlpine cook a delicious cake.
