Dame Helen Mirren proved her mettle over her co-star Pierce Brosnan in a surprising way, while the pair were promoting their latest film, The Thursday Murder Club. During a TV interview on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Kimmel, the host, Jimmy, presented the stars with a salsa made from a tomato he'd grown himself, ahead of discussing the new film.
While Dame Helen tucked into the salsa and went back for more, Pierce was captured quietly fanning his mouth beside her. He then started coughing and drinking water. It turned out the salsa had quite the kick to it, and Pierce wasn't as much a fan of spice as Dame Helen appeared to be.
'That was fresh and delicious,' said Dame Helen, while Pierce seemed to have a different opinion. 'I'm fine, I'm really good,' he coughed as the audience laughed, onfessing: 'I don't do hot sauce or jalapeño.'
