Detective drama fans, we’ve found your next binge-watch! Borderline is the impossible-to-fault crime drama coming to ITVX this autumn. Set on the border between North and mainland Ireland and featuring mismatched detectives who somehow create a formidable crime-fighting partnership, think of it like True Detective with an Irish twist.
Created and written by Cold Feet writer John Forte and starring Line of Duty’s Amy De Bhrún, the premise is a particularly strong one. The series introduces us to prim Northern Irish detective inspector Philip Boyd (Eoin Macken) and his sweary counterpart from the Republic of Ireland Aoife Regan (De Bhrún), who find themselves partnered up on a brutal murder case. Forced to put their differences aside, they collaborate to solve a crime that straddles the border keeping them apart.
While we count down the days for Borderline to be released on ITVX, here’s everything you need to know about it, including the cast, plot, and how to watch it.
