The streaming service has just bagged another series that's heading for our screens imminently and it's a good 'un. Enter Promethea, the disturbing memory loss thriller, which blends psychological mystery and supernatural suspense - and trust us, you won't forget it. The series revolves around the titular Promethea, a 17-year-old girl who’s hit by a car and doesn’t remember anything. Taken in by the family who knocked her down, she begins to experience visions of a violent crime that took place weeks earlier. The murderer, it turns out, is still at large. But the question is, what does it all mean?

What is Promethea about?
The six-part French series introduces us to 17-year-old Promethea. Promethea was in a terrible car accident that should have left her dead, but it didn’t. She’s alive and unharmed – only she has absolutely no memory of who she is. The only clue is a strange name that means nothing to her: you guessed it, Promethea.
Fortunately, she’s taken in by the family who accidentally struck her, but Promethea’s ordeal doesn’t end there. She starts to experience disturbing visions - flashes of a violent murder that took place weeks earlier. Attempting to piece together the fragments of her shattered identity, the questions pile up: Is she a witness? A victim? Or something far more dangerous?
The official synopsis continues: “With each episode, secrets unravel. A hidden key. A missing body. A growing sense that Promethea is more than just a girl with amnesia, that she's part of something much larger, and possibly deadly. As she begins to uncover extraordinary physical abilities, Promethea realises she may not want to know who she really is. But someone out there does. And they’re watching.”

How can I watch Promethea?
There's not long to wait before you can binge the whole of Promethea in full. The series will launch on Channel 4 on Sunday 10th August at midnight. It will also be available as a full boxset on C4 Streaming from Friday 8th August.
What other Channel 4 dramas can I watch?
Firstly, The Shadow is a good place to start. The creepy series tells the story of a young journalist who's haunted by the words of a beggar she meets on the street. The words in question. "You’re going to kill a man". If you enjoy a crime drama, then The Devil's Leap, which tells the story of a father-daughter hike gone terrifyingly wrong, is also worth a watch.
