Katherine Ryan made a rare red carpet appearance with the whole family, as she arrived for the screening of The Bad Guys 2 on Sunday (20 July). She has an exciting voice role in the new animated film as 'the absolute central character,' announced Katherine with her trademark humour, as she also revealed what her kids thought of her performance.
Katherine stars in a cameo role as the character Maureen, the super-organised assistant to governor Diane Foxington (voiced by Zazie Beetz). For the film's London screening in Leicester Square, Katherine brought along her husband Bobby, daughters Violet and Fenna, and son Fred.
Taking to Instagram, Katherine joked that her children were 'blown away by the action-packed heists, the comedy, the romance 💕, the relentless battle between good and BAD, and most of all, my performance.'
She revealed they'd had 'the best morning at the cinema' and said that 'taking the family out to the actual theatre is so much fun and really important for getting films made.'
For the occasion, Katherine looked glowing in a pink maxi dress with a bold rose print as she posed with a mascot of the film's lead character, Mr Wolf.
In the movie, the character is voiced by Sam Rockwell, while other big name actors including Richard Ayoade and Awkwafina also star alongside Katherine.
The Bad Guys 2 is the sequel to the original family movie which came out in 2022. The film is out in cinemas across the UK from later this week, on Friday 25 July.
