The Queen has officially revealed one of the newest additions to the royal household in a post on Instagram, following a visit to Battersea Cats and Dogs Home. Queen Camilla shared a professional portrait taken with her rescue dog, Moley, who she adopted from Battersea in February.

This week (Monday 14 July) The Queen unveiled a garden designed by Monty Don especially for dogs. The garden was displayed at this year's Chelsea Flower Show before being carefully relocated to Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, where the rescue dogs will now be able to enjoy it.

The Queen said it was "a fantastic afternoon" and added that she and pup Moley were "so grateful for all" the work the charity do. She added that "whilst Moley was keeping cool at home, she wishes she could have been reunited with some of her old friends," during the Battersea visit.

Queen Camilla is a patron of the charity and was invited to officially open the 'RHS and BBC Radio 2 Dog Garden', which was designed by Monty Don. The gardener was also present for the opening event along with Amanda Holden, who is an ambassador for the organisation, and other famous faces.

A separate post explained that the "garden was designed as a blueprint for all the things dogs love, and will provide Battersea with a tranquil space for the rescue dogs in their care." The garden will allow the hopeful adoptees to "spend time away from the kennel environment in a serene, natural setting."

A video of the visit shows The Queen touring the garden, meeting staff and volunteers, and greeting plenty of adorable dogs along the way. For the day out, Queen Camilla wore a royal blue shirt dress which she accessorised with a adorable puppy-shaped brooch.
