Wimbledon was a star-studded affair this weekend, with famous faces and royalty out in force for the Mens' Singles Final at The Championships on Sunday (13 July). Dame Helen Mirren was just one of the stars we spotted, and she looked stylish in a green printed midi dress which has been previously worn by Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. But it was her unlikely pal at the tennis event which really caught out attention.
Hanging out in the Evian 'Mountain of Youth' VIP suite, Dame Helen was snapped having fun with British grime artist Stormzy. The unlikely duo make an iconic pairing, and were joined by another unexpected addition - Australian actor Chris Hemsworth. The trio messed around together with some tennis props on Evian's pink bench in the lounge before heading to watch the match.
Dame Helen and Stormzy sat together in the stands with Chris seated behind them, and used hand-held fans in a bid to stay cool during the heatwave. Portable fans have been all the rage this summer, with Cate Blanchett and her mum being spotted with their own at Wimbledon the week before, colour co-ordinating them with their outfits.
Dame Helen's green dress is the Stormy Hearts Midi-Length Tea Dress by Suzannah London, a designer which the Duchess of Edinburgh turns to regularly (she wore multiple Suzannah dresses at Royal Ascot this year). In fact, Sophie has worn this dress on several occasions, including during a visit to Beirut in 2019.
Also in the crowd were the Prince and Princess of Wales with their two older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. For the occasion, Kate wore a custom Roksander dress in royal blue and dressed Princess Charlotte in a ruffled white dress with black trim. Meanwhile, Prince George followed his dad's example with the pair both wearing navy suits.
The Princess of Wales attended the All England Lawn and Tennis Club alone on Saturday (12 July) to present the trophy for the Women's Singles Final, and returned again the following day to present the award for the men's event.
The Championships 2025 took place from Monday 30 June to Sunday 13 July at the All England Lawn and Tennis Club in Wimbledon, London.
