The Queen has arrived at Wimbledon for day 10 of the tennis, making her the first major member of the Royal Family to attend The Championships so far this year. For the occasion, Queen Camilla wore a shirt dress printed with various animals, including elephants, foxes, monkeys and lots of birds.
The colourful dress appears to be a bespoke design created using fabric by Stragier in the Jungle Crumble print. The Queen has worn the dress to public events previously, including during her visit to Australia last year. She was spotted watching the action from the stands and also had a personal meet and greet with Novak Djokovic while at the All England Lawn and Tennis Club on Wednesday (9 July).
The Queen’s visit to Wimbledon follows a state banquet on Tuesday (8 July) at Windsor Castle to mark the State Visit of French President Macron and his wife Brigitte, their first in 17 years.
For the formal event, members of the Royal Family wore full regalia including tiaras and medals, with The Queen wearing the Belgian Sapphire tiara and accompanying jewels. These included sapphire earrings and a dramatic sapphire necklace, all of which previously belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
In addition to The King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales and Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were among the guests of the royal banquet at Windsor Castle. Kate also wore a tiara with a sentimental connection, as she chose the Lover’s Knot tiara, which was frequently worn by the late Princess Diana.
Sophie, on the other hand, wore her own Wessex Aquamarine tiara, which was a bespoke creation for her and can also be worn as a necklace. The French State Visit lasts for three days, beginning on Tuesday 8 July and sees President Macron meet with the Prime Minister and government as well as royalty.
The Championships 2025 takes place from Monday 30 June to Sunday 13 July at the All England Lawn and Tennis Club in Wimbledon, London.
