Royal Ascot is in full swing this week with members of the Royal Family rubbing shoulders with the stars as the horse racing kicks off for another year. And, if the photographs from the event are anything to go by, nobody is having more fun than Carole Middleton, mum to the Princess of Wales.
Carole arrived at Ascot Racecourse for day 2 of the racing in a gorgeous lace dress in the current colour of the moment - butter yellow. Carole's dress is a ME+EM pick (the Two Tone Lace Blend Midi Dress) which is still in stock online (at time of writing). She wore for a woven, asymmetric hat embellished with floral cut-outs to finish the look.
While the Princess of Wales wasn't able to attend on the day, her mum and sister-in-law Alizee Thevenet joined members of the Royal Family for the occasion. Carole could be seen gasping at the action on the race course and laughing as she caught up with other guests at Ascot. She spent time chatting to The King, and at one point he shielded his mouth with his hand as though telling her a secret.
The Queen was also at the races on Wednesday wearing emerald green, as was Princess Anne, her daughter Zara Tindall and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh. Prince William also joined the festivities, but Kate sat the day's events out following public appearances at the Trooping of the Colour and Order of the Garter in the days before.
Royal Ascot 2025 runs from Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21 June, and is attended by members of the Royal Family, stars and the public each year. It has been tradition for hundreds of years that the royals attend the event, including taking part in a carriage procession before the crowds.
