When was the last time you watched a really good spy thriller? If your answer is something along the lines of “too long ago”, now would be a good time to listen up. Netflix has officially heard our prayers and is bringing us a brand-new spy thriller to top them all, otherwise known as Bone Palace. The all-consuming espionage series centres around a safe house that’s suddenly – and rather terrifyingly – compromised – and we have a feeling it’s going to blow you away.

Set in Berlin, the story revolves around “The Nest” - a refuge for those who must, under no circumstances, be found, including ex-spies Simon (Felix Kramer) and Meret (Susanne Wolff). For years, it’s remained quietly concealed, with its inhabitants enjoying relative safety. That is, until one of Simon and Meret’s former targets figures out their location – and is determined to hunt them down, whatever it takes.

Ahead of Bone Palace’s arrival on Netflix, here’s everything you need to know about your next binge-watch, including the cast, plot and how to watch it.

What is Bone Palace about?

The six-part series will introduce us to former Federal Intelligence Service (BND) agents Simon (Felix Kramer) and Meret (Susanne Wolff). The pair have spent many years running a safe house in Berlin called “The Nest”. It’s a refuge for those who must not be found, including Simon and Meret themselves.

So far, so straightforward. But their apparent safety is about to be disrupted when their hideaway is exposed, meaning their lives - and that of their young daughter - are in danger. It seems one of their previous targets, who they’d presumed was dead, is, in fact, very much alive and suddenly they’re being hunted.

Suddenly, the pair have to hide from hit men, Russian agents, the Federal Intelligence Service, ex-lovers and a lot of people they have wronged. They’ve also got the small job of trying to keep their marriage intact at the same time. With the family on the run, it’s safe to say it’s the sort of all-consuming spy thriller that will keep you on very edge of your seat.
