Girl power was in full force this weekend as Mel B celebrated her 50th birthday with a fabulous party - and a true Scary Spice theme. Mel styled the event on the trademark pattern she wore while part of the Spice Girls: leopard print. At the party, the star reunited with her Spice Girls bandmates alongside family and friends to celebrate the milestone birthday.
A video shared to Instagram revealed the fun antics of the evening, as Mel and her guests danced the night away at Habbibi bar in Leeds city centre. Bandmates Emma Bunton and Mel C were out in full force, and clips showed the trio embracing and dancing together. Bang on theme, both wore leopard print with Emma in a long sleeve mini dress, and Mel C in an athlesiure dress (as Sporty Spice would, of course) with stripes on the sleeves. For her own big night, Mel B looked stunning in a glittering animal dress covered in sequins, which featured dramatic statement shoulders.
While three of the Spice Girls were enjoying celebrating together, there were two notable absences to the evening - Posh Spice and Ginger Spice. Neither Victoria Beckham or Geri Halliwell Horner were present at the event, although all five did reunite for Victoria's own 50th last year.
At Victoria's party, the five even did a surprise performance together, with David Beckham sharing a clip of the moment on social media. At the time Victoria said it had been "The best gift to be reunited!"
While Geri wasn't there on Mel B's night, a throwback photo of Geri and Mel was shared to Geri's instagram account, showing them in their 90s Spice Girls heyday. The caption read, "Happy 50th birthday @officialmelb wishing you a very wonderful year ahead."
The other guests at the event appeared to be having a wonderful evening, and whole-heartedly embraced the leopard print theme of Mel B's party. Even the event's decor was complete with leopard print tablecloths, a heart-shaped leopard print cake and even a sign advertising "Mel's Fabulous 50th" with a leopard in the centre.
