Nordic crime drama fans, listen up - a gripping new Netflix series is arriving on our screens very soon and we predict it's going to be your next binge-watch. Secrets We Keep centres on a young Filipino au pair, Ruby (Donna Levkovski), who disappears from one of Denmark's wealthiest neighbourhoods. As with all good Nordic dramas, it kicks off an investigation with more twists and turns than we could possibly count, cueing a mind-binding guessing game for viewers.

In a spine-tingling trailer, we see glimpses of a glamorous neighbourhood and two wealthy families. Shots of concerned looking au pair Ruby are interspersed with scenes of a dinner party between Ruby's host family and their neighbour, Cecilie. "I need your help," Ruby asks Cecilie when they are alone, with Cecilie replying, "I can't do that." We don't exactly what she asked for, but we do know that Ruby then goes missing. Cecilie is compelled to start asking questions, but it appears many people do not want to give her answers. What chilling secrets are being hidden? The crime drama revolves around the case of Ruby (Donna Levkovski), a young Filipino au pair, who disappears from an affluent neighbourhood in Denmark. A neighbour, Cecilie (Marie Bach Hansen), becomes convinced something sinister has happened to her and, as rumours circulate and suspicions of a crime grow, Cecilie’s au pair, Angel (Excel Busano), begins to investigate.

However, the case of a missing foreigner is a low priority for the police, and new-minted investigator Aicha (Sara Fanta Traore) needs all the help she can get. Thankfully, Cecilie and Angel are on hand to help, and gradually the power structures and privileges within the beautiful homes of this wealthy neighbourhood begin to be exposed.
