Most of us will be familiar with Jack Whitehall’s unique (and hilarious) brand of comedy – from Fresh Meat to the acclaimed Travels with My Father - but his next role is taking him in a slightly different direction. Malice is Prime Video’s deliciously dark new psychological thriller that will star Jack star as a nanny – or "manny" as male nannies are also known – seeking revenge. And it has a shocking twist at the heart of it.

The first-look pictures transport us to Greece, where "manny" Adam Healey (Jack Whitehall) is working for the well-to-do Tanner family. Things appear idyllic, only it turns out Adam isn’t the charming person he initally appears to be; he’s manipulative and he’s determined to destroy the lives of his employers. The question is: why exactly does Adam despise them so much? And that’s where the twist comes in.

Tim Hincks, Executive Producer for production company Expectation, has described Malice as an "extraordinary drama" with a script that promises to make it "unmissable". What is Malice about?

The six-part series will introduce us to Adam Healey (Jack Whitehall), a charming yet vengeful "manny" who infiltrates the brash, wealthy Tanner family in order to destroy them. Set in London and Greece, the series is described by Amazon as "full of dark family secrets, manipulation, and betrayal" and asks the question: why is so Adam so disgruntled with the Tanner family?

David Duchovny and Carice van Houten play the high-flying heads of the family Jamie and Nat Tanner, while Harry Gilby, Teddie Allen and Phoenix Laroche star as their three children. A sure sign the series will be on our screens imminently, filming concluded in June last and, according to Jack Whitehall, we’re in for quite a treat.

"What an incredible 18 weeks it’s been – from shooting in London in February to ending in 37-degree heat in Paros, the whole shoot has been an amazing experience and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved," he says.

"I feel so lucky to have been able to go to work everyday with so many insanely talented people on this job. I can’t wait for you to see the end result".
